Construction & Flooring Industry
I began my career in construction as a general labourer, working on APM sites across Melbourne’s metro region while employed by a private flooring company. It was hands-on work that taught me the fundamentals of the flooring trade, from installation and surface preparation to finishing techniques. Over time, I developed a solid understanding of site operations and the flow of high-demand, fast-paced projects.
As my work increasingly took me to union sites, I became a member of the CFMEU, embracing the values of solidarity, workplace safety, and fair working conditions. I’m proud of the time I spent working under union conditions and the strong work culture it fostered.
Although my career has since shifted focus, I still hold deep respect for the role of unions like the CFMEU in protecting workers' rights and maintaining industry standards. If required to return on-site in the future, I’m open to renewing my membership to continue contributing under union conditions.
Regardless of the project, I bring the same commitment: a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a drive to deliver high-quality workmanship with professionalism and reliability.
